Solar Panel Crushing Sorting Equipment

The solar panel crushing and sorting equipment is primarily used in the physical crushing and sorting stage of solar panel recycling lines. It processes photovoltaic panels to recover valuable materials, including silicon powder, EVA plastic powder, copper powder, and glass.

Final Products: Silicon powder, EVA plastic powder, copper powder, glass.

Product Description

The solar panel crushing and sorting equipment processes pre-treated photovoltaic panels (with aluminum frames and glass already removed) to crush, sort, and recover valuable materials such as copper, silicon, plastic, and glass. First, the decommissioned panels are fed into a shredder; the shredded material then enters a specialized crusher to break apart the EVA film and monocrystalline silicon wafers. An induced draft fan conveys the loosened material to a collector, followed by a sorting stage where silicon is separated out. The remaining mixed material enters a specialized pulverizer and passes through an airlock into an air-flow sorting screen; here, metals and plastics are collected using a combination of airflow and vibration, while dust generated by the air-flow separator is simultaneously captured.

Working Principle

Step 1. The scrapped photovoltaic panels enter the shredder to be shredded in small pieces.

Step 2. The shredded materials enter the vibrating sieving machine and Sieve out a small part of the silicon powder.

Step 3. The shredded materials will be crushed by the crusher and then separated by the circular vibrating screen to separate and collect some silicon powder.

Step 4. The material enters the grinding system and separates all copper powder and plastic powder through the air separator. At the same time, the last remaining silicon powder is sieved through a circular vibrating screen.

During the whole processing, the dust will be collected by the dust removal system.

Final Products: Copper wire, silicon wafer and glass mixture
