Our Continuous Solar Panel Pyrolysis Tunnel Furnace is an advanced, industrial-grade thermal recycling solution designed for the mass processing of scrapped photovoltaic (PV) modules. By operating in an oxygen-free or low-oxygen controlled environment, it thermally decomposes the EVA encapsulation and backsheet layers without damaging the brittle silicon cells. This allows recycling facilities to recover intact silicon wafers and high-purity precious metals with maximum efficiency.

Working Principle

The core operating principle of the solar photovoltaic panel tunnel furnace involves precise heat treatment of materials via heat conduction, utilizing zoned temperature control and continuous conveyance. The process primarily consists of four steps.

1. Feeding & Preheating: Photovoltaic modules (with junction boxes and aluminum frames removed) enter the continuous conveyor of a tunnel heating furnace.

2. Controlled Pyrolysis: Inside an oxygen-free tunnel, the temperature is raised to an optimal level, causing the polymer substrates to gasify.

3. Gas Extraction & Recycling: Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) are extracted to a gas treatment system; after purification, they are utilized as an auxiliary heat source.

4. Cooling & Separation: Clean silicon wafers, copper ribbons, and glass—free of carbon residue—exit the cooling zone, ready for sorting and chemical refining.
